THE TRUTH

"You can't handle the truth...!"                (OH YEAH.... TRY ME!!!!!!)

This sure seems to be the way our government operates of late (especially)...  While sound  bytes such as "need for transparency" are thrown around like wrapping paper on Christmas morning, we are spoon-fed "the news" by the major media with all kinds of hidden agendas and "special interests", lied to by our elected officials and flat out IGNORED when we demand answers about operations that affect the way we live and the security of our very existance within the borders of our beloved country and as human beings in general!!  People like Edward Snowden are villified and accused of treason for being brave and fed up enough to risk their lives to expose the truth! 

Are we stupid? Are we so reactionary and immature as a whole that we will panic and cause pandemonium if we were privy to what actions are being taken by our federal government and the reasons for them?  Do we not deserve to know the truth if it could affect our daily lives and the choices we make? Or is there in fact something far more sinister at work???  Is our government actually eavesdropping into every aspect of our communications because they FEAR us or want to PROTECT us??  I, for one, feel strongly that only I can truly determine what is best for me and need full disclosure to be properly prepared to make appropriate choices in my own life!!  

How many of you have felt betrayed by a loved one when they have kept from you some pertinent detail that may have caused you to act in a different manner or feel differently about something??  I sure have...  I say I would much rather be "hurt with the truth, rather than comforted with a lie"!!!  We are constantly being told that there are things that "in the interest of national security" that must be withheld from us...  which if we are talking about military strategy or specifics of deployment or the identity of our special ops soldiers who are taking actions to secure our safety and ability to remain free, then I agree, these details should not be broadcast to the world - Yet they are!! 

But, when we demand an accounting for how atrocities such as Bengazi, 9/11, etc. happened and what is being done about it or we want to see actual documentation that would prove once and for all our own president's eligibility to BE president and put our worries to rest that he may in fact be a liar, traitor and be acting in a subversive manner to harm this country and as a result each and every one of us... When we want to know how much of our daily communications are being monitored and to what purpose or want the bottom line in regards to legislation such as "Obamacare" or "Quantative Easing"... we are brushed off as if we mean nothing and have no business knowing such complicated and detailed  information! Yet, we are obviously credited with wisdom and insight enough to still vote for these same politicians who seem to think we are unfit for "full disclosure"!!

The greatest tool and weapon ANYONE can arm themselves with, is KNOWLEDGE!  It is said, "Knowledge is Power", so is it that the bottom line here is that our government DOES NOT want it's own citizens to be EMPOWERED?????  And if that IS the case, WHY??  What is it that they would fear from US?  If we do not start making them accountable, truly holding their "FEET TO THE FIRE" and reminding THEM who it is they work for..... You and I, then I hate to think where we are headed!!  We simply need to look back at history to see that every great nation is destined to fall when it's government gets overinflated, bloated and arrogant and when it ceases to serve it's people!!

So, while some of you may think that alot of what I post for example is "conspiracy theory" or like a friend recently said to me, "never gonna happen", there is much to substantiate the need for further inspection at the least, and most definitely a demand for The Truth and Full Disclosure by our officials about things like FEMA, Homeland Security, the IRS and Federal Reserve, HAARP, DARPA, etc. Do not be so quick to deny the very real possibility that our own government as a whole is NOT working in our best interests.... That would be NAIVE and IGNORANT and a very careless attitude to take at this juncture, in my opinion... But you have to decide for yourself - What is your freedom worth to YOU? How much time can you spare to do some research and actually ponder the current state this country is in??  Is it worth giving up a few evenings out, refraining from watching this weeks episode of "Sons of Anarchy" or whatever mindless drivel you veg out to in front of the T.V.? Is it worth having your friends roll their eyes at you when you begin to ask questions or discuss the possibility of weather manipulation, FEMA (internment) camps and how soon our dollar will collapse??  IT IS TO ME!!!

Please, keep in mind that these people we have elected to represent us are NOT Gods, they are human beings - with all the failings and shortcomings that go along with that...  They usually do not carry any special degrees and do not have any rare gifts or special powers that give them insight or wisdom or an ability to be deeply discerning and they are most definitely not inocculated with Sodium Pentathol each time they make a speech either... They CAN and OFTEN DO lie!!!  Power Corrupts, this is a simple but well known fact! If we all just begin to use the brain that God gave us to think with and to exercise our ability and right of Free Will (which coincidentally comes with an ability to make discerning decisions) and then Stand Up for what we know is right... We CAN make a difference!! 

I do not even necessarily mean that we will in the end CHANGE the course or direction in which the world is headed in, but we can make a difference in the world around us!!  Because THE TRUTH is like a beacon in the night, guiding ships over turbulent waters... THE TRUTH is like a Fire that refines silver and gold, burning away impurities...  THE TRUTH is a shelter that covers and keeps us warm and dry during a storm...  THE TRUTH is not relative, it is not subjective, it is not wishy washy, it is not based on interpretation... THE TRUTH stands firm on it's own merit and although manipulated at times, it is unchangeable and remains TRUE Forever!!!

THE TRUTH is, at the end of the day, really all we have.... IF we seek it, that is!!

So, seek it out... Find it and then Stand up and shout out proudly and loudly your right to The Truth!

Everything is Temporary

We spend so much of our lives trying to HOLD ON 

to something, someone or some feeling or another... 

But in reality, it goes against our DNA to be that way - 

To be so resistant to change! 

All things with an energy source - a life force, 

are constantly evolving... We humans do not remain static! 

So, it seems to me that if we could just 

ACCEPT this fact within and around ourselves - 

Understand that nothing lasts forever,

that we can't claim ownership of any moment 

and that change is a necessary part of Life...

Well, then maybe we could and would be MUCH happier people!! 

Be GRATEFUL for whatever time you have been blessed enough to share with 

that which you treasure - No matter how short or long a time it may be!

But if it becomes clear that it's time has now passed - Smile and move on, 

carrying with you the memories of sharing a special time with a special person 

or having a positive experience in whatever situation it is you will miss!! 

Then be OPEN to the next blessed moment in time that you are meant to enjoy!! ♥

This is OUR WORLD...

"THIS IS YOUR WORLD... SHAPE IT OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL!"

TOO TRUE!!!!  One of my favorite quotes is.... "Stand for something - Or else you will Fall for Anything!" and this one goes right along with it.  The world is a place, I think we can all agree, filled with despair, hatred, sadness, disappointments, violence and pain...     But it ALSO is a place filled with Love, Compassion, Kindness, Charity, Strength and Joy.....  


To a point - it's about perception  (what you chose to see or focus on) but a lot of it has to do with ACTION!!!  Some of the strongest individuals I know of, are those who through adversity have bulldozed their way clear of the muck and got to the other side and have a real life now!   To blindly or numbly accept our circumstance is a passive and NON-ACTIVE approach to Living.... Rather than shrug our shoulders and shake our heads at the injustices and horrors of the world, wouldn't it be better to STAND UP and CHANGE things as much as we can where ever we are???

I know most of us have come to believe that there is little we can do to change the course that this world has been on for so long now.  We don't vote because what's the point when our little single choice is nothing in the grand scheme of things and the loudest voices are always the ones spoken in anger or are intended to disrupt.  But is that the truth?   There was a commercial back in the 70's or 80's for a perfume and the memorable line was... "If you want to capture someones attention - WHISPER!"  The funny thing is that IT'S TRUE!  Even all these years later, I can still remember the commercial and  even hear the actresses voice and the way she "WHISPERED" the word...  and I cannot remember a joke I heard 2 minutes ago!   Sometimes, the smallest and seemingly insignificant things can make the biggest impact - I believe this!




So, let's take this to heart -  If we look around and don't like what we see, who can we blame but ourselves, because in some small part we all have contributed to it getting to this point and if we do nothing - Nothing will ever change!!  We can start today - NOW!  This very minute!  We can start by loving ourselves and showing kindness to ALL!  Forgiving ourselves and those we have held hostage with our unforgiving hearts, our stubborn minds and harsh words!!  We can think of doing for others more often, sooner and without reluctance!  We can share a smile with someone on the street even when we are in a hurry or frustrated or sad!  We can make a point to HELP not harm everywhere we go and with all of our words and deeds.  We can be forthright, honest and gentle and be trustworthy as well as trusting!  We can be strong for others and in spirit and we can be gracious and humble as well!




There are a million ways we can DO SOMETHING on an everyday basis and it truly does start at home....  By teaching our children to value PEOPLE and honesty and kindness instead of things and status and appearance...  We can stop saving for a new car and instead save time at the end of our day for our loved ones... We can remember how much our parents sacrificed for us and loved us unconditionally and be there for them UNCONDITIONALLY without them having to ask us first...  We can let people off the hook instead of making them feel bad just to feel superior ourselves.... And we can accept that we are EXACTLY the person we were meant to be and begin to embrace all of our past and every hope for tomorrow rather than knocking ourselves down for not being who we think we should be or for what we have done in the past....  

                                                                                         
                                              

                                                        

We CAN drive out the darkness with the LIGHT of our Love and the power of our conviction!!  


Evil is only HOPELESSNESS, DOUBT and FEAR, not an immovable force that will break us down or that can withstand anything!!!  Once we realize that - We can do ANYTHING!!!  LOVE TRULY CAN CONQUER ALL!!!!   <3

Let's us do all part by being a Positive Force in the world around us!

Sometimes, I think we are the most miserable and hopeless
when we isolate ourselves, draw inward - focusing on our own turmoils, issues, trials 
and allow the life challenges we personally face to occupy so much of our thoughts and our time, 
not to mention zapping our energy...

I truly believe that when we put ourselves "out there", 
allow ourselves to "open up", be vulnerable and focus our energy OUTWARDS ---
Away from ourselves and the overwhelmingness of our own "problems"... 
And towards something other than SELF...
Someone or something that we can care about and for...
That is when we can actually begin to heal, renew our strength and spirit, 
become energized, re-focus and re-channel our thinking 
and very possibly even change the course of our own life, 
along with making a difference in the lives of others and the world around us!!

There is so much to be said for the Joy of Giving, 
the feeling of making a positive impact in another's life, 
of helping to nurture and heal a broken heart or spirit, 
being able to be instrumental in someone becoming 
who they were intended to be or being a part of 
some one's success or helping them gain knowledge 
or insight that will help them on their life's journey!

Scientific studies have been conducted to determine "what happens" 
when a person "GIVES" and when someone is the recipient of another's giving... 
When endorphin levels were measured during a simple exchange of a hug, compliment or smile 
given by one person to another, the person who was GIVING the compliment or the hug, 
had FAR HIGHER levels of chemicals that produce feelings of joy, contentment and satisfaction 
being created and released in the brain than the one accepting the "gift"...  WOW!!

Basically that tells me that the saying "It is better to Give than to receive" is pure truth!! 
Our physiological design, our own bodies, support (even prove) the fact  -- 
that when we "Give of Ourselves", we benefit even more 
than the one we are supposed to be helping -- 
We are healing ourselves, emotionally and physically when we GIVE!!! 

Most of us have had some MAJOR traumas and injuries to endure throughout our lives... 
Physically, Emotionally, Spiritually... A lot of us have been damaged, beat down, 
broken, left alone and tossed away like we are NOTHING!! 
We rarely have had anybody to care for us, 
to whisper words of encouragement to chase away our nightmares or self-doubts, 
to wipe our tears or hold us while we wept or to tell us we are special, beautiful, 
loved and so important and to encourage us to dream and 
help us believe we are capable of great things and are worthy of great love, compassion, kindness...

When we have not had people to take care of us, 
it is sometimes difficult to consider others (especially people we don't know well) 
and to give of ourselves, because possibly we are still waiting 
for someone to be there for US, to validate us and care for us. 
Deep down we are always aware of what we should have been given, 
what was withheld from us, what we longed for... 
Inside, that innocent, but wounded and lonely, child may be very much alive 
and desperately needing what they never received!

Sometimes it's easy to get lost in that feeling of being cheated out of the beautiful gifts 
of acceptance and love and the joys of being wanted and cherished 
and so we can become so preoccupied with "looking for love", 
wishing for it to finally come to us as adults and of course, 
what usually comes instead is more hurt, disappointment and betrayal!! 
It may be really hard to even wrap your head around what is going on outside of your own inner turmoils, 
to look around and see another's pain or loss without it making your own sting even more sharply! 
It could be nearly impossible to cultivate or maintain anything beyond superficial relationships 
because we have cut ourselves off emotionally and put up walls so we can't be hurt anymore, 
or we may feel inept at making social connections due to lack of experience and confidence 
and probably we have some major trust issues.

Many of us are told we don't know how to set boundaries, take care of ourselves 
or do what is needed to ensure we are getting our needs met. 
We may have been called "Co-Dependent" or convinced 
that being a "Caretaker"  is all bad and is "unhealthy" for us... 
Then we wonder if picking up the phone at 2 a.m. when our girlfriend is crying over a broken heart 
means we are neglecting ourselves or that we are being taken advantage of - 
We think we must be "in denial" if we actually ENJOY baking for the class, shopping for our elderly neighbor, doing resumes for our friends for free or we like being a "homemaker"/"stay at home Mom" because we LOVE to cook for our family and we take pride in a beautiful, clean home! 
Maybe we even feel hopeless when we realize that always wanting to Teach or go into Social Work 
or become a Nurse is only because we only feel validated when doing for others!! 
Then we beat ourselves up even more for having a "Need to Nurture" - Like that is a BAD THING??!!!

I am not trashing the concept of "Co-dependency", 
but I am challenging it's relevance in many cases where we have suffered losses and been hurt 
due to lack of love and caring in our own lives when we needed it most! 
I personally FEEL BETTER when I am doing things for others, 
when I feel a part of something, when I feel like I can help someone 
or make a positive difference in the world around me!! 
And I do not believe that it is because I somehow don't feel deserving of help, of being nurtured 
or that I think I am unlovable!! I have even been told that I want to help others 
so I don't have to focus on what I need to do in my own life, 
or that it makes me feel more in control or normal when I am focusing on someone else's problems!

Although that may be true for some people, 
I have found that it is good to not focus on my own "stuff" so much!! 
Not that I am hiding from it, how can I really? 
It's always with me, it's my past... I have LIVED IT! 
But I don't have to let it be my today or my future... 
I will not be defined by my scars! 
Instead, I can allow my wounds to heal by opening myself to others, 
allowing myself and my pain to be exposed may help someone else who is hurting, 
being an example of selflessness and claiming victory over being a victim 
by taking an active role in Living and Loving and Sharing!!

I believe we were Created to Love... 
To be "In Relationship" with one another! 
We were specifically designed to be creatures that CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER!! 
The true definition of LOVE (as is spoke of in The Bible) is... "TO GIVE"!! 
So, if we want Love in our Lives, 
rather than waiting for it to come to us, 
or accepting that we will never be loved 
because we were made to feel less than, unimportant and unworthy - 
We can experience all the LOVE 
and the joy that comes from it by GIVING IT!! 
When we create the opportunity for love to take root and grow, 
it can't help but touch us too! 
We, thankfully, have an unlimited resource of it within each of us 
and the more Loving, Charitable and Kind energy 
we put forth in the universe 
the more Love there is to make the world go 'round!! :)

So, get out there, take a risk, 
learn to live by truly LIVING LOVE 
by showing it to all those you come into contact with! 
And if you feel moved to want to help someone, 
feel drawn to someone in need or who's having hard times - 
Do whatever you can to make their world a brighter place!!
I guarantee that your sun will shine even more brilliantly when you do!!!  <3
